LIMS preplanning - this would include:
- an evaluation of the labs need for LIMS (is it the right product technology?),
- training about what a LIMS is,
- how it works (from the users perspective),
- how it can change the nature of the lab's operations and people's jobs,
- variations/trends in LIMS products (generalized not vendor specific), and,
- how to go about evaluating and purchasing a LIMS.
Our methodology - implementing the approach of the Institute for Laboratory Automation - is vendor neutral, we do not promote specific vendors.
