Our primary purpose is to assist companies in the development and implementation of effective, successful laboratory automation programs. That includes technology planning and management. We do that through our Laboratory Automation Engineering (LAE) program, providing advisory services as well as education (public course offering and on-site programs).
Technology Planning: Chess players know that planning their moves is essential to a winning strategy. The further ahead you can look, the better your chances of coming out on top.
The successful use of automation and computing technologies in laboratory applications requires planning. The more thorough the planning, the more likely the money spent on the purchase of products and services is going to advance your programs.
Our technology planning methodology covers immediate needs, the potential for integration with other systems, product and data life cycle management, and avoids the potential for having to re-invest resources into projects you thought were completed. It is a long-term view of how you want your labs to operate internally, how they need to work with other groups, and how to get from where you are to where you want to be.
Other Advisory work consists of periodic meetings to assist companies in their project work, reviewing directions, planning and looking at product proposals or looking for missed opportunities. The advisory work is a natural follow-on to an on-site or public LAE course.
