Our primary purpose is to advance Laboratory Automation Engineering as a field, and to help companies develop their laboratory automation programs, that in turn will support successful R&D programs, product development and commercialization, and quality management. This work can be done for a single lab or for a lab complex to improve the organization's ability to take advantage of automaton and computing.
Delphinus is interested in working with companies to:
- Provide workflow analysis and evaluate their readiness for automation and systems integration. This includes the development of a data life cycle model for the lab that will identify areas where vendor dependence is either an asset or liability, and recommend strategies to remedy potential problems.
- Lay the ground work for successful automation programs.
- Protect their investment in the products of laboratory work: new Knowledge, Information, and Data. Improve the use of those products as corporate resources.
- Provide a basis for product evaluation, purchase, or replacement [LIMS, electronic lab notebooks, laboratory management systems, quality management systems, etc.]. These systems serve as "data aggregators" bringing together data and information from diverse sources. As a result their use can have a significant effect on your labs ability to function in both the short and long term and should complement your labs data life cycle model.
- Improve communications between labs and other groups, so that the labs output is easier to work with, improves organizational effectiveness, and gain support for programs.
Our services include:
- education,
- planning assistance,
- working with you to define the program you'd like to implement and then developing a plan to achieve it.
